After amassing a fairly diverse collection of original bird creations during the past few years, I finally decided to make some prints earlier this month and dangle them out there for sale on my Instagram feed. To further entice potential buyers, I agreed to donate $26.20 from the sale of each print to the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester. While I only generated mild interest via Instagram, all of my sales actually occurred at my office, where I sold five prints to co-workers, earning $131.00 from the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester.
I certainly won’t be making an overall profit on this venture any time soon, especially considering how much I regularly spend on art supplies. But really, my goal right now is to continue enjoying the experience of creating art. And giving back a portion of my sales seemed like the right thing to do, in light of the fact that the recent discovery of my artistic abilities is a gift in and of itself, for which I’m extremely grateful.
For now, I have the following prints available. I don’t yet have an online store set up. But send me an email if you’re in the Rochester area and are interested in prints.
